Infographic design highlighting the critical issue around the destruction of the world's coral reefs.

The world’s coral reefs are close to irreversible destruction and if we don’t act now, nearly 500 million people who depend on them will be impacted.  Scientists estimate that nearly 90% of them will be gone by 2043 if nothing is done.

To highlight this, Sheba revealed the start of the world’s largest coral restoration programme, ‘HOPE REEF’, where the word ‘H-O-P-E’ was spelt out using regrown coral in Indonesia’s Spermonde Archipelago, visible from Google Earth.

id created an infographic to highlight the key facts and statistics around the restoration project. Featuring bespoke iconography, the graphic pulled out key information from the ‘The Film that Grows Coral’ movie and drove those engaging with the post to watch it.
