The Hamilton Commission

Identity for a new research partnership aimed at making motorsport as diverse as the complex and multicultural world we live in.

The Hamilton Commission simultaneously addresses the under-representation of Black people in UK motorsport and the STEM sector. Improving diversity and inclusion across all engineering and technology sectors is a key priority of the Royal Academy of Engineering and as an Honorary Fellow, Lewis Hamilton has partnered with the Academy to undertake this research.

id developed the identity by taking letterforms from Lewis Hamilton's current logotype and using them to create shapes similar to nuts, bolts and pistons found within high performance engines.
